Richard Lawson began his automotive career in 1971 by establishing a new and used car dealership.
The company began purchasing cars in the south of England and this resulted in the acquisition of a car transporter to transport these cars . The company then expanded into mainstream new car logistics and the Richard Lawson Autologistics group became a significant player in the UK market. In 1999 Richard joined Wallenius Wilhelmsen and became head of the global logistics team with responsibility for all land based transport and PDI operations throughout the WWL group.
In 2004 he left WWL to create a number of new enterprises, one of which was Spirit- Eurotrans which enabled Richard to re-enter the field of finished vehicle logistics in the UK. Richard also has interests in the retail motor trade and the educational manufacturing sector.
